Light, water, earth, wind, fire

There are not five competing substances. There is one aether at five densities. Fire is aether as electricity. Water is aether as magnetism and memory. Wind is aether as signal in air. Earth is aether slowed into structure. Light is the message that moves through all of them.

Fire · 3

Outward charge. The body already makes infrared. Heat you can feel is the same family as the signal the cell uses. Light on the skin is this clock: information, not a chemical dumped into blood.

Water · 6

Inward hold. The inner ocean. Interstitial fluid. Drink as the daily river. Light can live in water the same way it lives on skin — two clocks, one equation. Read Hydration next.

Wind

Distribution. Breath. The room’s field. Devices in the hand. You do not have to kill the signal to ask it to hold a more ordered shape.

Earth

Minerals. Structure. Drainage and refill. The lattice and the sea. The meal and the bone. What does not belong can be bound. What the ocean always was can return.

Aether · 9

The medium. The torus. The still center the other four breathe through. Without aether, the elements look like a catalog. With it, they are one.
